12/7/2023 0 Comments Spore drive in action![]() They just can't drop the conception of it for Voyager's sake. It's going to be dangerous, even for section 31-type duties. If the writers are clever, the show continues on, and they honest to canon Star Trek, I have a feeling something very bad is going to happen out of the spore drive. You're telling me that NO one knew of or thought of using the spore drive to attempt to save Voyager? Was there no records of it, or did no one want to attempt it using the technology again? Eventually Starfleet finds out and creates the "Pathfinder Project" to create a means to bring Voyager home. They had no proven technologies/methods of getting home (other than wormholes.). But let's forget about that for a second for the sake of Star Trek and canon. They were still riding the wave of TNG and the old-school Trek with the warp drive. I love "Discovery" but one thing that keeps bothering me in the back of my mind why was the concept of the spore drive not used to used to save Voyager when it was stuck in the delta quadrant?
